Office Policies and Appointments

Briarcliff Pediatrics is open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Dr. Deeb will be available to see patients on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (off on Wednesday). Dr. Rebecca McCoy sees patients 5 days a week Monday – Friday. To make an appointment, please call (770) 939-7676. For All Well Child Check appointments, we ask that the PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN accompany the child and Not a family member or relative.

BRIARCLIFF PEDIATRICS NO SHOW AND LATE POLICY

Briarcliff Pediatrics requires at least a 24 hour cancellation notice if you are unable to keep your child’s scheduled appointment. If a 24 hour notice is not given, the parent/legal guardian will be charged for the missed appointment. For same-day appointments, a charge will incur if you no-show. Charges for missed appointments are $25 for a missed “sick” appointment and $50 for a missed well child check (i.e. yearly physical).  After THREE (3) no-show appointments, the patient will be dismissed from the practice.  We respectfully ask that all patients arrive to their appointments on time or early; however, we understand that occasionally people will run behind due to circumstances beyond their control. If you see that you will be running late for your child’s appointment, we ask that you call and notify the office. You will be given a 10 minute grace period; after the grace period, you may be asked to reschedule the appointment.

FORM POLICY

Briarcliff Pediatrics is happy to provide an updated 3231 immunization form on the day a patient receives immunizations free of charge; additionally, a sports physical form will be provided on the day a patient receives a well child check if needed. It is your responsibility to request these forms at the time of your child’s visit. Any requests for 3231 (immunization) or 3300 (hearing/vision) forms beyond the time of service will be subject to a fee. Additionally, sports physical forms, school forms, medication forms, camp forms, and special letters are all subject to an administrative fee of $10-20 per form when not associated with a visit. Fees for forms are due at time of the request. Forms will be completed and ready for pickup, mailing, or email/fax within 2-3 business days.

We do offer same day appointments for our sick patients, but we ask that you call ahead for an appointment that day. Offering you an appointment time, helps us to plan for all our patients and reduces your waiting time in the office.

Referral Process

Your doctor will initiate the referral process for a specialist and/or procedure. After diagnosing a problem that requires a specialist’s intervention, your physician may give you the name and number of a physician in that field. You will need to call the specialist’s office to inquire about insurance acceptance and to make an appointment.
If you have private insurance (HMO, PPO, POS, etc.), it is your responsibility to contact your healthcare plan to determine your benefits and eligibility for the specialist visit and/or procedure. If your plan requires that our office complete a referral form or make a referral call, please contact our office. Referrals will be completed in 3 business days. We are not responsible for contacting insurance companies to determine if a specialist or procedure is covered by your plan.

If you have Medicaid or Peachcare for Kids, please ask the specialist’s office if they accept those programs. If you require our office to complete a referral form or make a referral call, please contact our office. Referrals will be completed in 3 business days.
