For nearly twenty years, the dedicated team at Briarcliff Pediatrics has worked to provide the highest quality healthcare for newborns, children, and teenagers up to the age of eighteen. However, we know that truly superior health care doesn’t end when you walk out of the office. Healthy kids require a healthy environment where they can grow and thrive. That’s why board certified pediatricians Dr. Raymond Deeb and Dr. Ashley Brown take advantage of every opportunity to help improve and enrich their local community. Treating our patients and their parents like we would our own family and working together to build a better future is what caring for all children is really all about.
This month, Dr. Deeb will be helping Henderson Mill Elementary School’s March Mania fundraiser reach its goal to raise $50,000 in support of their new STEAM initiative. This program develops cross-curricular instructional material that incorporates music and visual arts into the school’s already well-established STEM (science, technology, math, and science) curriculum. The goal of the STEAM program is to foster critical thinking and creative problem solving to address practical, real-world issues in an instructional environment that is interesting, engaging, and fun. Henderson Mill Elementary School is the first school in Georgia to receive STEAM certification, and it is located just one mile down the road from our own newly refurbished Briarcliff Pediatrics office.
Dr. Deeb and Dr. Brown have always believed that real, long term pediatric health requires that we focus on more than just a child’s physical well-being. Even though we happily provide well-child check-ups, immediate medical care, and immunizations to all children, we also make an effort to encourage our patients’ intellectual and emotional development as well. To this end, we have created the Briarcliff Pediatrics website which features the latest information on topics ranging from self-image and anxiety to school performance, internet use, and even new driver safety. When children and parents are well-informed about the issues that matter to them most, they make better decisions that ultimately lead to better long-term outcomes and a healthier and happier life.
At Briarcliff Pediatrics we have tried to create a setting that is both professional and comfortable, where children and their parents can establish long-lasting relationships with Dr. Deeb, Dr. Ashley Brown, and the entire Briarcliff Pediatrics staff. If you would like to learn more about us, just contact Briarcliff Pediatrics to schedule an appointment. You can even come in for a complimentary meet and greet so that you can talk in person with Dr. Deeb or Dr. Brown and get a tour of our newly renovated office. Finally, don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google+ to get up to date health tips and the latest news in children’s health care.
