Policies

Your doctor will initiate the referral process for a specialist and/or procedure. After diagnosing a problem that requires a specialist's intervention, your physician may give you the name and number of a physician in that field. You will need to call the specialist's office to inquire about insurance acceptance and to make an appointment.

We accept cash, check, VISA and MasterCard as well as most insurance plans.  Payment is expected for medical services rendered at the time of your visit.  Co-payments and non-covered charges must be paid at each visit as stated by your plan.  If any special arrangements are necessary, please ask to discuss them with our billing manager.  There will be a $25.00 fee for all returned checks.

After regular business hours, we have a telephone answering service, which receives our calls.  A nurse from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta will receive your message and return your call.  The nurses are highly experienced and work with physician-developed protocols.  Most phone calls are comfortably handled by the nurses.  Occasionally, the nurse or you may choose to have the doctor on call paged, for very difficult cases.

If your child has a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.  If your child has an acute illness or minor emergency, please call our office to schedule a same day appointment.  If the need arises, Dr. Deeb is also available for suturing most lacerations in the office, rather than having to refer you to an emergency room.
